Abstract

In the first and second half of the 19th century, the formation of a number of genres in the literature of South Azerbaijan, especially examples of prose and drama, facilitated the development of artistic thinking. At this time, it would be more correct to consider artists' preference for scientific-theoretical publicist works as a step towards solving the problems of the people. In the second half of the 19th century, the study of poetry, artistic prose, satire, and drama, formed in the direction of realism in the literature of South Azerbaijan, presented a complete and comprehensive study of the social and political conditions of modern Iran. Prosaist, dramatist Mirza Fatali Akhundzade's philosophical views, journalistic creativity, scientific outlook gave new content and direction to the literature of South Azerbaijan. Thus, the true awakening of the literary and cultural life of South Azerbaijan found a clear example in the work of M.F.Akhundzade.In fact, M.F.Akhundzadeh's realist literature had an impact not only on the literature of South Azerbaijan and Iran as a whole, but also on the literature of Central Asian nations. The literature of both sides contained the socio-political landscape of the period in its own way. Of course, this was not reflected in the genre-style trends of the works. However, in South Azerbaijani literature, traditional themes differed and prevailed due to their features: in terms of subject matter, it was both distinguished and superior due to its idea and poetic features. Because, both oral and written sources of literature originated in South Azerbaijan, the idea and content were directed against feudal relations, the colonial policy of absolutism, but despite this, the works with content that called people to life and gave them the spirit of awakening were not written. In the creations of poets, especially in their love poems, the feeling of feeling for life, women's singing and beauty was more evident. South Azerbaijani poets Abulhasan Raji, Haji Reza Sarraf, Muhammad Bagir Khalkhali, Seyyed Abulgasim Nabati, Muhammad Hidaji, etc. In their creations, the authors took the woman as a symbol of life-giving spirit and loyalty.
